- Some components (such as pumps, brushes, sprays, and nail polishes) cannot be recycled through traditional collection and require special treatment or disposal as special waste.

Here's how:

Empty contents completely

Ensure the bottle is empty. If there are residues (e.g. gel, nail polish, cream), use all the product or remove the excess with a cloth or paper, avoiding pouring substances down sinks to prevent water pollution.

Separate Mixed Parts

Where possible, separate different components:

- Caps, pumps, dispensers (often made of a different plastic than the bottle)

- Brushes

- Labels (if easily removable)

These parts should be disposed of in the correct bins according to their material (e.g., plastic, metal, or general waste).

Light Cleaning

There's no need to wash bottles with soap and water: a quick rinse or removal of main residues is enough.

This avoids water waste but makes recycling easier.

Reduce volume if possible
For squeezable plastic bottles, reducing the volume helps them take up less
space in bins and optimizes collection.
